Saturday Randomness & Some SoCo

This post is rather random, but that's how life is sometimes.

Paper. Not Plastic.

I just read a post, which I thought might interest some of you. It's Part 1 of What Is A Letterpress? I love writing letters and enjoy beautiful paper and stationery. When I started blogging and saw that the art of letterpress is alive and well, I've noticed letterpress more and more. If any of you saw the movie Seven Pounds, you might have noticed the letterpress scenes. It takes physical strength, a lot of hard work and love to run a letterpress!

A Mini Subway Story.

When I saw this photo last night, it reminded me of my ride on the T the other day. I was on the Red Line reading Eat, Pray, Love for the second time to get ready for the movie. I can't wait to see it! So I look up from my book, and there's a woman sitting across from me, who had looked normal before, now chowing down like there's no tomorrow on an ear of corn! She munched away like she was having her own personal train picnic! It reminded me of the Sex and the City episode when Carrie has jury duty and one of her fellow jurors pulls a coconut out of his briefcase.

SoCo on a Saturday night.

I had a chance to try a new Southern Comfort product. You know how I use Southern Comfort all the time. To make cocktails. In baking. Like this biscotti and the glaze for the Obama Celebration Cake. Use it in place of or in addition to vanilla extract. Love it! It's one of my favorite multi-purpose products.

So when I was asked if I'd like to try the new Southern Comfort Lemonade Cocktail, I was more than happy to oblige. There's no going wrong here. I was already adding SoCo to my own homemade lemonade, so this just cut out some of the work. It's all premixed and ready to go. I like to mix in fruit juice for color and some soda for fizz. Adding some lime ice cubes is a nice touch too.

If you're looking for a new drink to try, Southern Comfort Lemonade Cocktail is a great addition to your bar supplies. It's so good!

Disclosure: I received a complimentary bottle of Southern Comfort Lemonade Cocktail along with glasses, cocktail stirrers, napkins, and a straw basket. Thank you Southern Comfort and Dig Communications!

Homemade Popsicles.

These two three popsicle recipes (Frozen Chocolate Cream + Raspberry Peach + Apricot/Strawberry Yogurt Pops) look really good and I hope to try them. I don't have the right shaped glasses or sticks though, so I need to get some.

Happy Saturday everyone!
