All Aboard The Arc!
All Aboard The Arc! is a pledge fund and awareness-raising event taking place each Spring.
There are several small local send offs, then a caravan of buses travel to the main celebration event uniting local communities across Massachusetts in celebration of a shared goal to support our local Arcs.
Please read the blog posts below for more details about my involvement with the event and the Brockton Area Arc.

Celebrating 5 Years Blogging & The Abilities Of People With Disabilities
The Arc is the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism and acquired brain injury. With more than 700 national and local chapters, The Arc is on the front lines to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families have the support they need to be members of the community.
The Arc has gone through a series of name changes over its six decades of advocacy. It includes 18 chapters in Massachusetts and believes that every individual with an intellectual or developmental disability deserves to have an education, equal rights and access to the information, advocacy and skills they need to participate as active citizens of our democracy.
For two years, I led my own team to support the Brockton Area Arc (BAArc). This local chapter has helped my family and it's where I served on the Board of Directors for six years. With the help and support of many of you on and offline, I met my 2012 fundraising goal and my increased 2013 fundraising goal as well. Thank you so much!
This year I didn't lead my own individual fundraising efforts. However, donations are welcome year-round and you can send a check to the address below or donate online here.
