A Blog First

For those of you with tons of blog traffic, this post may bore you, but I couldn't NOT write about it.

Yesterday morning, I logged onto my computer as usual and opened up my blog. However, I noticed that according to my widget showing how many other people are reading, there were six others.

I thought, "That's weird." I refreshed and then there were nine others. That was really weird. Good, but weird.

I checked sitemeter and saw that 866 people had already visited since I checked the night before. 221 people in just the previous hour. I hadn't had that kind of traffic since I wrote about Tom Brady and Gisele!

"Who are these people and where are they coming from?" I wondered. I checked my referrals and found that they were coming from Yahoo! News under Most Blogged - Elections. I've noticed that they had linked to me before, but I usually wasn't the first blog that was listed and the traffic was increased, but not like this. This time I was the first blog on the main page. I took a screen shot and tried to copy it into my photo software, but couldn't figure it out. I copied it and scanned it into my computer. That worked, but the photo quality isn't the greatest.

But you get the point. My post from yesterday, A Pennsylvania Story, made it to the big time! And I finally broke my 50,000 visitors mark! Yippeee Yahoooo!!

I've had my jelly filled doughnut for the morning, enjoyed it very much indeed and I must say that I enjoyed looking over your blog and just wanted to say Congradulations, we need more I've had my jelly filled doughnut for the things that make us feel good in the unreliable times that we have found ourselves in lately.
