I'm sure that this blogger knows that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and hopefully she'll forgive me for writing two posts in a row that were inspired from her blog.
Without her consent or any type of permission whatsoever, I've adopted Karen as one of my blog mentors. She's great! She just finished writing a book called The Beauty Of Different, that will be available this Fall. I cannot wait to read it! And another cool thing that she did recently was to create a Life List or 100+ Things I'd Like to Do Before I Go.
As soon as I read hers, I wanted to create my own. But life got in the way, and to be honest, I was feeling rather intimidated. 100 things!? Could I really write that?
Luckily, I wasn't the only one feeling that way, so Karen wrote a post giving tips on creating a list. After seeing it broken down into little bite size pieces, I decided that I'd write my own.
Of course, I still hadn't done it, so then I guess the Universe directed me to randomly find a similar type of list, 38 while 28, written by another blogger. I found Elizabeth after she retweeted my tweet. Seeing her list was my tipping point and I started writing down my list. It's going to take a a few days to complete it and put it up here, but I'm well on my way.
Below is a sneak peek:
Attend a lilac festival.
See this view while sitting on the longest porch in the world.
I've heard that the best way to make things happen is to write them down. So we'll see how this works.
