I absolutely adore Brussels sprouts. Unless they're overcooked, and then nothing, nothing can save them.
Love 'em! Especially roasted with lemon, butter, and breadcrumbs. Mmmm....
Love them! Love them shredded in the food processor, and sauteed with olive oil, onions and fresh thyme until tender, and then tossed with a sprinkle of balsamic and toasted pignoli. Love them steamed until tender, then tossed with a butter-sauteed chopped onion, a big glob of gulden's mustard, and a dash each of tabasco & worcester sauce, and left on low for 5 min. to soak up the flavor. Mmm. Now I have to go shopping...

I love them pan roasted.

You know what, for me they start off great in your mouth, but then, later down the line, they leave a terrible aftertaste...my only complaint.

I can take them or leave them. They taste OK, but nothing I'd go out of my way for.

asha - LOL! It was fun writing it! ; )

big boys oven - I did check out your menu. What an amazing display!! You must do a booming business! Your work is stunning!

starry nights - Well, you side with most of the population! ; )

happy cook - Welcome! Wow! A whole field of them! That must have been an amazing sight. And so funny that you saw the field, then happened upon my post! ; ) I wish you could have taken a picture. Maybe next time!

nance - I don't mind if they are a little mushy, but they can start to go horribly wrong pretty fast.

susan - Yum!

bipolarlawyercook - Those recipes sound delicious and the way you described them, it was like a poem. Very melodic.

cynthia - Me too! ; )

mizrepresent - Yeah, I can see where that could be an issue.

suldog - I was talking to my mom and she loves them, but my father is not a big fan, so she tends not to make them too much.

tera - You have to try them!

david sullivan - LOL! : )

aviana - Interesting. I don't think I've never had them with cheese.

Love your list! My favorite recipe with Brussels sprouts is cooking them Indian style- in an aromatic stir-fry called a "poriyal" with curry leaves, mustard seeds and some coconut as a garnish.

Anali, I've never tasted brussels sprouts before but I am willing to try. I like how Nupur prepares hers ( I am partial to poriyal!)

nupur - Thank you! Yum! "poriyal" sounds really good. And curry leaves... I've never heard the leaves mentioned before.

lotus reads - You have to try them! ; )

Oh Anali I am so disappointed I placed a comment days ago and it obviously didn't post. So here we go again

I was very excited that you used my Brussel Sprout Soup Thank you. I have another idea I saw on TV the other day.

Just de-leaf the sprouts, then into a pan with a little olive oil, garlic, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Little water & cover and steam about 5 minutes.
Shot of vinegar and drizzle with olive oil to serve.
Delicious

so simple - I'm not sure what happened with the comment. One thing about the comments on that site is that they post immediately. Maybe you had the wrong password or user id? Thanks for the additional recipe!
Lisa, Thank you for your entry! I love Brussels sprouts as well, especially topped with melted butter and breadcrumbs! :)
