Freshly Baked & Warm From The Oven
Can't you just smell it? Breads, cookies, muffins? There's nothing like freshly baked food. Well, unfortunately I haven't made any for you. I was a bit under the weather this past week and haven't done all the baking and photography that I had planned.
Remember my post here about flour bakery + cafe? Well, I have been cooking up something new and exciting for you. I interviewed the owner of flour, Joanne Chang!Find out what she has been up to and read one of her recipes here in my new article Eat Dessert First on BoomerGirl!
*Updated 4/8/2013* Sadly my interview is another post that was lost when the website BoomerGirl shut down.

asha - Sorry no picture! Happy Easter!
suldog - Happy Easter to you too! Enjoy your Girl Scout Cookies! ; )
the thinking black man - Hey! Good to "see" you back here! We have the same weather forecast. This snow needs to end!!! But I think it has even snowed here in May. I'm so ready for warm weather! Well, enjoy your Easter regardless of the weather!
kaylee - Thank you and Happy Easter to you too!
Sorry to hear you've been under the weather...hope you're feeling wonderful again.
Will go read the interview now!
hope you had a great weekend!
Food is a "hobby" of mine as well! I LOVE to cook, and try new recipes...baking especially!!!
I went shopping on Saturday morning and bought three packages of crummy cheap cookies. I had been jonesing for cookies ever since the start of Lent and just lost my head. Only when I was taking things out of the grocery sacks did MY WIFE remind me of the much better treats I had forgotten about.
I hope you don't mind an off-topic comment, but I think this is important: There is a great post on The Carpetbagger Report from a few days ago about the mainstream media's (specifically Time magazine's) ignoring the prosecutor purge scandal.
What explains the failure of the mainstream media to cover the purge scandal for so long, and so many other scandals? Do you think somebody just set up newspaper editors to cheat on their wives, and threatened to tell if the editors wouldn’t play ball when they come back some day and ask for something?
It wouldn’t be that hard to do, when you think about it. People wouldn’t talk about it.
peter n - I hope you had a good Easter too. Mine was very low key.
jac - I hope you had a good one too cuz. : )
amisha - Thank you!
dan - No baking this Easter for me. It was a pretty small event and my mom baked a nice cake.
tera - I'm still trying to get back to myself, but thanks for the good wishes.
suldog - Funny that you forgot! I hope you enjoyed them. : )
swan - Welcome. Interesting.
That was really nice; great job!
I wish you a speedy recovery, and a Happy belated Easter.
You better get to the store before all that good 50% off chocolate is sold out (lol)
