Back To Law School ~ Part 4

Hopefully you've enjoyed reading this series and the words of wisdom. This is the last post, but two more creative people who also happen to have law degrees answered the posed question. “What advice would you give to a current law student going back to school?”

+ + + + + +

Isatu Funna, Founder/Owner, Dar Leone
“I ended up not practicing law for very long (3 years) but I would like the students to know that the study of law hones your critical and analytical skills in such a way that it will serve you well throughout whatever career path you choose even the creative. Also for those who do go on to practice law, try to consider the real application of black letter law whenever possible; not just the academics and that is a huge assist when you start your work life.”

Jerome Chang, Co-founder/Exec. Chef, DessertTruck, Cathcart & Reddy
"If you think you're done studying, you're not. Keep studying."

Short and sweet. The perfect way to end. Take a look at Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 as well.

Great series! And, the advice has been very sound and well worth making a part of the schooling process. Doing what works for you is the absolute best advice -- it's too late to try to learn new habits when there's so much to do! Fingers crossed and looking forward to your post on passing the Mass Bar!
