Fair Trade Futures Conference in Quincy, MA - Sept 10-12, 2010

This weekend Quincy, Massachusetts is making history again! The largest North American fair trade conference is being held at the Quincy Marriott for two days starting tomorrow.

I don't know why I didn't hear more about the conference before. It sounds really interesting and rather important too. The conference is being kicked off in Boston tomorrow night at the Prudential Center with a block party from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.

The block party will celebrate Boston being named a fair trade city. Congratulations Boston!

Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield (yes, the ice cream guys) will be speaking at the Fair Trade Block Party. Theirs was was the first ice cream company in the world to use Fair Trade Certified ingredients starting in 2005.

Oh and on a random note, I finally tried the new Boston Cream Pie flavor. G was out and asked me if I wanted him to bring me anything. Yes. Indeed I did! This new flavor was all I had been thinking of. Loved it!

I'm looking forward to hearing more news out of the Fair Trade Futures Conference. Are any of you going?
