Three For Under The Tree

How can I put this? Over the past year, the economy has not been kind to me. As much as I am grateful for all that I do have, I find myself pining over things that I cannot have. Christmas makes it worse. I know I'm not the only one.

But sometimes I like to revel in the what ifs and imagine that I could buy whatever I want. If money were no object. I saw three things recently that I just cannot get out of my head. So I'm gonna daydream.

Recently, I've seen lists suggesting gifts to buy people and decided that I could do one too. I'm always coming across interesting things here and there around blogland.

I haven't received these products, money, or anything free for writing this post. These are just three things that I would love to see under the tree.

Wow. Does that sound sad? Like I'm going to have A Charlie Brown Christmas? Well, I will be listening to the CD. Love it!

Please note that the photos are from the products' respective websites. Here's the list in no particular order.

1. A Superhero Necklace

I love the blog Superhero Journal and all the jewelry is beautiful. Read more here about the blogger/designer/photographer/life coach Andrea Scher.

Her tagline is "You are your own Superhero." Doesn't it make you feel powerful just to think about that? This week the Earth necklace is on sale. Anything in Andrea's shop would be a great present.

2. Zusss Pillows

I love the simple colors and textures of these Zusss cushions and just can't seem to get them out of my mind.

3. Swans Island Rare Wool Summer Blankets

Something about certain fabrics really grabs my attention. When I saw the prices of these Swans Island Blankets I wanted to cry. These are over $600.00! But the colors and the thought of myself all comfy warm under one of these blankets is a nice daydream. If money were no object, I would have ordered several.

Nothing wrong with a little daydreaming! When I was little, and my mom was raising us on her own, we used to go to the department stores and "play rich" for hours. It is a sweet memory.
Have a great holiday season!

It has been a tough year. Let's hope that 2010 will be kinder to all of us. Fingers crossed!
When there are things I daydream of ... I tell myself I'm just postponing getting them for awhile. If they're important enough ... eventually I'll find a way. And when I do? I appreciate them that much more. (Although I have a feeling I'll be daydreaming of a big wonderful kitchen for all eternity!)

Those blankets look warm and loving; just right for snuggling with someone special on a cold evening. If you get the blankets, I hope you also have the someone :-)

Maybe Santa will be kind to you.

Your post title reminded me of a few families I know who only give 3 presents per person- representing the 3 gifts of the wise men...and it keeps Christmas from getting out of control.

se'lah - The colors just make me feel good. When I was a kid, I used to love to play with marbles and they remind me of that.
