Granola For Breakfast

This morning I finally decided to make some granola. This post inspired me to get to it. Because I've made granola before, I didn't stick to the recipe and just threw some of the standard ingredients (oatmeal, molasses, brown sugar, honey, vanilla, salt, water) together and baked. After I let the granola mixture cool, I added raisins, flaked sweetened coconut and chopped walnuts.

Here are some more detailed recipes, if you'd like to try your own. After you compare a few recipes, you can create a granola recipe to your own taste. Enjoy!

You really have the power to make me CRAVE things! When I saw this post yesterday I went straight to my bag of provisions that I bring with me to the hospital on call, and lo and behold, I had a little baggie of granola in it that I just had to munch at 3 o'clock in the afternoon because of you! :) The nurses were like, "Breakfast only now, Dr. T?" Hee-hee... :)

You're reminding me that I haven't eaten breakfast yet! Granola sounds sooo good. My mom used to make it all the time when I was little. So delicious.
