I Love ...

how out of the blue,

the sunlight suddenly shines in my kitchen window,

dances upon my floor,

sparkling,

glimmering,

and brightening up my day.

You know, this is a beautiful post. I felt like I was reading a poem... you made me remember my childhood when the sun used to play like that with the white lace curtains in my grandmothers kitchen window.

asha - Things are good! Another sunny day today, but super cold and windy. Around 25 degress. Brrrr! Enjoy your balmy 60 degrees!

starry nights - There's nothing like a sunny day, except a starry night! But I guess you know that already! : )

angela in europe - Thank you and happy birthday again!

nance - Bright sunshine is the saving grace of February in cold climates, so we know that Spring is walking up the street, approaching our sidewalk, almost ready to knock on our door!

ari - Thank you! That makes me feel wonderful to think I brought back a nice childhood memory! There's nothing like them, especially with our grandparents.

suttonhoo - Thank you! I guess I was inspired! ; )

vasilisa - Thank you! I actually did recently wash it, but these floors are pretty much always really shiny. The floors and all the sunlight were what sold me on the apartment. Oh and the French door and built in shelving! I do love this place!
Lovely illustration of how nature's simple beauty can be so inspiring. Thanks for brightening my day!

You're always a poet...and I wonder...let me think...I wonder what that convergence of shadow and light REALLY said? Only Anali knows!
As always, so great to be here......Peter

That is such a nice picture and post. I remember feeling so good when I was a kid, seeing the sunlight filtering through the sheer drapes - seeing the tiny dust motes dancing in the sunbeam - looking at the patterns made on the bed and on the floor. Just wonderful, and thanks for reminding me of that.

suldog - Thank you! So glad to have brought back such good memories. It's amazing what a little sunlight can do.
