A Soothing Saturday

Although this was my birthday week, it was a very stressful one. So today is all about relaxing. I'm going to do some baking and make some soup.

Fall is definitely in the air today. The light is different now. It's breezy and the full sun doesn't make it hot anymore.

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen earlier that I was getting ready to make a brown sugar scrub. It was very easy to make, especially since I have all the ingredients and could reuse an empty glass jar.

Take a look here for directions. For the moisturizing oil, I used grapeseed and for the essential oil, I used lavender.

After making this scrub myself, I cannot believe how much I've paid to buy it in the store. Sort of like how I started making my own salad dressing. Not only is it cheaper, but I can change it as I like. I'm really enjoying this DIY journey!

Much comfort and joy to you this weekend my friends!

I bought a sugar scrub yesterday, saw this today! I'll save the recipe for next time. Do you know how long this scrub lasts?

campbele - I'm not sure, but can't see it going bad. Also, this just made a small amount, so depending upon how often I use it, it will be gone within a couple of months. Let me know if you try it!
