Boston loves yoga and letting you do things for free. Now that summer is here, there are plenty of new outdoor classes. After learning about so many free yoga classes around the city, I decided to put together a schedule.

Planning to visit Boston for vacation? Or maybe you live in the area and want to try some classes without straining your budget. This schedule is for you too! Here's the list of free yoga classes by day of the week, so you can plan ahead.

If you know of any other free yoga classes in Boston, let me know and I'll update the list. Also, if you take the classes, any feedback in the comments would be great!

++++++++

Monday: From June - September, take a Vinyasa slow flow yoga classes at 11am in Norman B. Leventhal Park, in the heart of the Financial District, at Post Office Square, Boston.

Tuesday: From June through August, enjoy a Power Vinyasa yoga class in America's oldest public park at 6pm. The class takes place on the lawn next to the carousel at the Boston Common Frog Pond.

Wednesday: As part of Boston Moves For Health initiative, yoga classes are taking place on City Hall Plaza.  From June 6 to July 25, 7:30-8:30am, Health Yoga Life will be offering classes. In case of bad weather, classes will be held at their nearby Temple Street studio.

If you prefer an evening class, then at 6pm, take a Sunset Yoga class on Fiedler Field at The Esplanade. Classes are led by Exhale Spa from July 10 to August 1 and The Sports Club/LA from August 8 to August 31.

The next two Wednesdays, August 15th and August 22nd, Lululemon Athletica offers a complimentary outdoor class from 6-7pm at 800 Boylston Street, Boston in the courtyard between the Prudential and Towne restaurant.

Thursday: Teachers from South Boston Yoga and The Sports Club/LA team up to put on yoga classes 7-8am, from July 12 to August 30 on City Hall Plaza.

Saturday: From June through August, start your day with a 'Sunrise Yoga" class on the  InterContinental waterfront lawn overlooking Fort Point Channel. The class is from 8-9am, weather permitting, and is open to local Bostonians as well as hotel guests.

Want a morning class that's a bit later? Head over to The Liberty Hotel on Beacon Hill for a 10am yoga class. The classes started last Saturday, but they run through the end of June, so there's still time to try one one of the classes given by Equinox.

Take a ferry out to Spectacle Island for a yoga class a little later in the afternoon. Choose from two Island Yoga classes, one at 12pm and the other at 1:15pm, from July 7 to August 25.

Sunday: To end the week, enjoy donation only yoga classes in Jamaica Plain's Arnold Arboretum by Branching Out Yoga. Classes are 9-10am, the 1st and 3rd Sundays each month near Dawson Pond.

Updated 8/9/2012: Regarding Lululemon Athletica free yoga classes. I read about them too, but was not able to confirm the classes, so at first I didn't mention them here. But I've noticed an uptick of people searching for the classes and winding up on this page. I just left a message with the store and will update the information here if they get back to me. Thanks for visiting!

Updated 8/11/2012: I heard back and it appears from what I could hear of the message and see on their Facebook page, that there are two more free Wednesday classes in August, which I'm adding above. Here are some pictures on their FB page of the last uncommon yoga event.
