Update: Bakesale For Japan {Boston}

*Updated 4/7/11* Current national total is $124,120.38!

Today was the Bakesale For Japan! Here's an idea of the treats that were available for sale. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the scones that I donated, but they were so good, that I'll be making them again.

According to an email that I received, the preliminary total sales for the Boston location were $1,619.50! Now that's a lot of sweets. And all of the money is going to a very good cause.

While I was there, I couldn't help but buy some macarons. Who was I to leave all those cute little macarons alone without a home? So I brought some back with me. They were made by we♥macarons. They were so good!

Thank you to all the volunteers for their hard work. As more information comes in about the nationwide effort, I'll update this post. For now, you can follow the twitter feed for updates.

tracy - They were so good! And I want more! I may have to teach myself how to make macarons,so I can have them more often. So nice to see your comment here. On Facebook, a friend just asked me for a recipe using apples. Not even two minutes ago, I sent her to your blog for the Norwegian Apple Cake recipe!
