We've been needing a little heat off & on for two weeks already--it suddenly got very chilly, especially overnight. I've been getting out quilts for the bed, blankets near chairs for cozying up. We went to an apple festival at the weekend... brought home apples and have been making apple butter. Our plum we've been picking and making into jam...mmm... This time of year tastes so good in so many ways! Happy Days, Anali :o) ((HUGS))

First time I have to wear a sweatshirt or sweater, rather than just a t-shirt, to work. I love the season, more so than any other. For my tastes, generally not too hot or too cold - just right, mostly. Of course, I come from northern stock - my skin was not designed for Summer!

Ms. Summer doesn't seem to want to leave here in GA. It was 93 degress yesterday and it will be 92 today. So, still waiting on Ms. Fall to grace my presence but until then Ms. Summer decided that she will keep us company.
Your signs sound amazing... for me (since our weather doesn't generally cool off for a few more months) it's planning my annual Pumpkin Carving Party--which I'm doing now!

Leaves are turning here, but mostly from the heat. Sweet corn stands are warning that it's almost over--hurry for the last few weeks of corn-on-the-cob. And pumpkins are appearing on porches. It's an early fall in NEO.

Fall is butternut squash and wearing long sleeves, a scarf and sandals.

Ahhhh, Fall, my favorite time of year!! Thanks for reminding me to get myself over to the local orchard and stock up on THE best apple cider I've ever tasted. Did you know you can freeze it? Did that one year and in the middle of a snowstorm I was sipping apple cider.
Pumpkin is my favorite part of fall. Scones, coffee, pudding, ice cream, any form at all!

You ought to try pumpkin cider.

I buy cider - in the fall. I close my storm windows (most of them until it's really cold), I keep seeing squirrels lugging acorns, I kick acorns as I walk, I feel sleepy earlier.
I love fall best of all - wrote a blog post about that.

tracy - Apple butter and plum jam! Yum!!

suldog - I think a lot of people prefer Fall. As much as I don't like the cold, there is something nice about switching from summer clothes to winter.

vickie - Ms. Summer was here for a few days, but she's gone today. : )

scraps - You're making me want to go and get a pumpkin! Have fun at your party!

nance - That's true! The end of fresh corn on the cob...

se'lah - I started noticing a few leaves falling too. So sad.

jackie - Thanks for dropping by! Butternut squash is a huge one! I love it in soup. I've worn long sleeves and a scarf too. And I haven't put the sandals away either. : )

chris - I've never frozen apple cider, but good to know that it works. I have a small freezer, so unfortunately, not much fits in there. *sigh*

kelly - Welcome! I'm with you on the pumpkin! I don't think I've ever had pumpkin pudding, but I sure do want to try it!

dmarks - Pumpkin cider!!?? That sounds amazing! I've never heard of it before. Now I must start a search.

can-can - Squirrels lugging acorns! That's a big one. I just had a visual of a squirrel lugging a little backpack filled with acorns! LOL!
