{My Life List} #70

Even though I haven't written about My Life List in a while, many things are in motion behind the scenes. #70 is successfully grow lavender.

Lavender is one of my favorite scents. My mom grows it in her yard, so sometimes she gives me some to bring home. Which is all well and good, but I thought it would be nice to grow some here. I'm very good with plants, so I thought it would be easy. Not so much.

I tried growing lavender from seed once before and all the little plants died. I'm trying again. Wish my little lavender babies luck!

This picture is part of a new Habit flickr set. Also, take a look at the Habit flickr pool, which is part of an 18 month anniversary celebration on the Habit blog.

I've enver grown lavender from seed, too impatient. But it sure is one plant worth having in your garden. Go on get a plant from the market, it may be a while before you get to smell the ons your growing :D

Best wishes to those little seeds, Anali! I've not grown lavender from seed before either--have better luck with established plants from the plant nursery or market. :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))

I do very much wish you luck. Lavender is also one of my favorite scents, and I never actually considered growing it. Maybe I'll give it a try myself (although my usual luck with plants ends up with them dead...)

mangocheeks - Welcome! I may just have to dig up one of my moms from outside. *sigh*

tracy - Thanks! It just doesn't seem logical that I can't do it. I'm so good with plants! Maybe it wouldn't be so annoying if I couldn't keep any plants alive. This just doesn't make sense to me.

suldog - Let me know if you try it. Maybe you'll discover the secret to it! ; )
