Pi Pie on Pi Day
Happy Pi Day! It's 3/14! Just like last year, I forgot and didn't make a pie in time. And I won't be baking one today, so I thought that I'd show you one anyway.
I had complete mathphobia growing up, but always loved the concept of pi. For some reason I found that number strangely comforting. I've never used π for anything, well except for these pi posts, but I liked that this number was constant, yet infinite. There was something other wordly and magnificent about it. It had a cool symbol to go with it. Plus, it sounds like pie.
Oh, and in case you're curious, there's a movie called Pi. I saw it when it first came out. I liked the idea of it more than the actual movie though. It's rather deranged, but the trailer sucked me in. Watch it here.

And on this day, I wanted to write more about pi than just 3.14. So here is pi to 500 places. It's 50 digits in each row. Kind of pretty. Enjoy!

*Updated* I just found this Pi Cake recipe! I know it's pie sacrilege, but I had to share it.
