Free Cosmetics on January 20th!

On January 20th, not only do we get a new president, who is bringing us joy, hope, and change. We also get free cosmetics!

While the two have nothing to do with one another, it is a delightful coincidence. I just tweeted this news , but thought it deserved a post too. And did you know that you can follow the Inauguration on twitter?

According to this website, the products below will be given away at certain retailers as part of a class action settlement.

Femme Eau de Toilette (1 ounce/30 ml)
Coco Mademoiselle body lotion (3.4 fluid oz)
J’Adore Eau de Parfum (15 ml)

Hmmmmm. I'm considering whether to show this to MY WIFE or not. On the one hand, she'd probably like some free stuff. On the other hand, I'd hate to see her in the middle of the riot that's going to break out when they run out of some of this stuff :-)

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, why are the free cosmetics being given away? Mmm, gotta fit this in to watching the Inauguration! Thanks for sharing info!

suldog - I am a bit afraid of possible riots. People go nuts over sales, never mind for free. But I really would like some free stuff and I'm sure your wife will too. : )

paula - Welcome! If you click on some links on my post, it wil bring you to the Cosmetics Cases Website. That website explains that the cosmetics are being given away as settlement of a class action lawsuit.

I have to find out what time the Inauguration starts and hopefully be to the store and back before it starts.

anonymous - Welcome! I'm not sure of the particulars. If you click on the link to the settlement website, it will give you more information.

You may want to print that settlement information out out and bring it with you to the store. It's not only Macy's, but several other retailers as well. I'm sure each of the stores will have their own way of giving out the products.

You may want to check the retailers' websites or call the store in advance. Otherwise, I guess we'll all just be wandering around the make-up counters. ; )

I guess free bacon is too much to hope for.

dmarks - I'm sure that somewhere in the world, at some time, there will be free bacon. : )

anonymous - You're welcome! I'm so glad that you were able to go! Ironically I ended up not being able to go myself, but someone picked something up for me - shower gel from SJP's Lovely collection. I can't wait to use it! ; )
