Superhero Photo Challenge - Hidden Messages

Yesterday morning I read this post containing the assignment for this week's photo challenge. It said to find a hidden message. It seemed all well and good, but I was a little skeptical that I'd find one in time to do the challenge. Well, sometimes you actually get what you're looking for.

While walking down Newport Avenue to the Wollaston T station, I looked down and saw the word "warmer" written in chalk. I was silently asking a question in my head and was stopped in my tracks, because I walked over it. I turned around and walked back, whipped out my camera phone and took a picture after remembering the photo challenge. What luck!

It seemed like a treasure hunt or something, so I was ready to see what the next clue would be. The next clue was "getting warm" so I figured I was walking away from the direction that the person was leading the clue seekers. It was still fun and encouraging though, so I kept snapping photos.

The next and last hidden message that I saw before arriving at the station, said "you're so close." I don't know who wrote this, but thanks for the material whoever you are! I'm always looking for guidance, so maybe this means I'm on the right track.

That is so cool! I always wonder who does stuff like that! And, I love that you followed the message. Good thing it wasn't too crowded there so you didn't miss the words.

That's interesting to see in the morning! There are signs for a store in South Dakota which teases you for miles and miles until you get there! It's "Wall Drugs", a mini mall!!:D
In South Carolina on the way to the beach, a Hispanic theme park with gas, food and Carousel etc has "Pedro wants you" sign for miles too! Hahaha!!

That's way cool!

When I was younger and in a band, I was looking for songwriting inspiration. I was walking across the Mass. Ave. bridge and, as I reached the middle, there was writing on the pavement. It said, "Halfway To Hell."

Well, that's just a great title for a heavy metal song, so I wrote it. Pretty much wrote itself, really.

The fun thing about it is this: Did the graffiti writer mean that Cambridge was hell, or Boston? It was written in such a position on the bridge that it gave no clue as to the intent. I thought it was brilliant.

aviana - I wasn't following it, I was doing my regular walk to the train and it was just there. I only stopped to notice and take pictures. I'm good. I hope you're having a good week!

so simple - You see everything that I saw. I would have had to go out of my way to see where it was leading to and I didn't have time. I was just walking to the train. I'm curious too though.

los angelista - It's never crowded there. Quincy streets aren't like Boston streets!

asha - Those sound great! And a Hispanic theme park? Never heard of it. That's interesting, but odd. I've never heard of an ethnically based theme park...

suldog - Love your story! And it does make you wonder which city they were referring to. Very interesting.

zen chef - Look around today. Who knows? : )
