You may want to avert your eyes. Why do bad pancakes happen to good people? I can't answer that question right now. Everything that happens in the kitchen isn't pretty. But I guess it happens for a reason.

Today, I was going to share a lovely recipe for Whole-Wheat Pumpkin Chocolate-Chip Pancakes. Maybe I was biting off a bit more than I could chew? Heh, heh.

I did eat them though. They don't taste like sewage, but they're not good either. I won't even give the recipe. Why drag all of you into this madness? All I know is that I have a lot of this batter left. There isn't much flavor and the consistency isn't right. I think I have a pumpkin pancake problem.

I just realized that I had a similar fiasco last year. I can usually adapt recipes, but I've found my adaptation Achilles' heel. Hopefully these pancackes won't kill me, but they are a definite weakness. I'm still posting everyday, so if I don't post tomorrow then you'll know what happened. The pancakes took me down.

Is there any way to turn them into muffins, bread, or biscuits? Go for it.

nance - That is exactly what I was thinking, but I haven't been able to stand too long, so it has to wait a bit.

suttonhoo - Thanks! I have to admit that it was also a cheap attempt at increasing traffic. Although the people looking will be disappointed when they see the pictures! ; )
