A Meme & An Award

I'm starting to wonder what I was thinking when I decided to do this NaBloPoMo thing... Well, I'm in the thick of it, so I'm going to persist.

A week ago, I was tagged by Mizrepresent to share 7 random or weird facts about me. If you've read any of my previous memes, then you know that I never follow the rules exactly, which actually could be one of the weird things about me. That will be a bonus answer!

I'm going to give seven, but I'm not going to tag anyone in particular. It's late and NaBloPoMo is starting to kick my butt. If anyone would like to take up this tag, then go for it!

1. I hate to iron, but I don't mind doing laundry.

2. Sometimes I will spontaneously break out into song. And I can't sing.

3. I'm extremely sensitive to smell. That's one of the reasons why I don't mind doing laundry. It smells so good when it's done! Unfortunately, it's also why riding the T can be so horrifying.

4. Lightening storms scare me.

5. My arms are double-jointed.

6. I'm a very good sleeper. I don't really toss and turn, so when I wake up, the bed is pretty much still made.

7. I have lotion and lip gloss with me at all times. No exceptions ever. If you ever find me without them, something is very, very wrong and please help me.

And now that you all think that I'm a total freakshow, it's been nice having you read my blog. Sorry to have scared you away!

For those few of you lovely people who remain, thanks for staying! And I received an award! The same award twice in fact!! Thank you so much Starry and Lotus!

They said that I have the power of schmooze! I think the award was first created here.

Ironically, I'm not feeling too schmoozy or energetic to figure out who has this award and who doesn't. I think most of you whose blogs I frequent have it already. So, I'm going to go back to my weird trait and break the rules again. If anyone doesn't have this award and would like it, then I think by reading this post that you deserve to get it. So please take it and enjoy!

Congrats! I, too, have double jointed arms. And ditto on the lip balm. I was a kiehl's gal for years, but I think I have finally found my one true love-- Aveeno Intensely Medicated. It's in the cold and flu aisle at the CVS.

So, like, you can put on your lip balm from behind your back in bed while singing? Cool!

KEEPING THE LIPS MOIST is a MUST!! i do slip on the lotion - but generally have that in my purse, too (when i carry a purse;-).

Two things that may help you get over your fear of lightening storms (which i happen to LOVE):
1) think of them as Natural Fireworks displays (i also love fireworks;-)...OR...
2) Read Ms. Beverly Jenkins' Topaz ...after U read it - u'll know what I mean;-).

Hey Anali! thanx for coming thru & checkin' on me...i'm trying to stay focused - but sometimes i have to come out of my box & be cyber-social;-). If u ever find yourself down the road in NYC I hope we can hang out & have a drink/coffee/tea!

What, really, does that award even mean? I'm not sure I get it.

hi, Anali!

I am terribly sensitive to smells myself...sometimes that's a good thing, but more often than not,it's not. I mean the slightest (not so nice) smell can make me quite sick. Do you find that happens to you too?

The MEME is laugh-out-loud funny!

Congrats on the award.

jeseem - LOL! Thanks for saying that I'm only strange! ; )

bipolarlawyercook - I love Kiehl's everything, but unfortunately I don't have an all-Kiehl's budget. Damn student loans!! I do treat myself every once in a while though.

suldog - LOL! Yup! ; )

capcity - I'm pretty excited about your new project! I do hope to make it over to NYC in the next few months. Even if it's just for a day. I cannot believe how long it's been since I've been there. 1999!!! Last century. That's just wrong! I'll definitely let you know before I go, so we can get together.

nance - I think it means that I leave nice comments for a lot of people, so then they come here and leave nice comments too. Maybe?

lotus reads - Hey there! It does happen to me also. I don't smoke, so cigarette smoke really bothers me. When I walk outside my office building and people are smoking, it makes me ill. When I'm driving and people driving in front of me are blowing smoke out the window, it's the same thing. When I get on the elevator and someone was smoking, I can smell it on them.

It's a constant thing and a double-edged sword. If I didn't have such a sharp sense of smell, then my sense of taste wouldn't be so strong either and then I would probably be a completely different person.

cynthia - Thanks! I'm glad you stayed! ; )
