A Sweet Finnish
Last weekend I went to the Jamaica Plain Open Studios to see my uncle's photography exhibit. He took some really cool pictures of his neighbors and put them together for a show. This past winter I wrote this post about another one of his exhibits.
He's also started selling notecards with his photography on them, which I really love. I bought a bunch and some lucky people will receive them when I sit down and write some proper letters.
So what's the deal with the pastries? Before I found a parking spot, I saw a bakery with a really pretty store front called Sweet Finnish. Word play gets me every time. I love the name!
I've had Finnish pastry before and knew I'd be in for quite a treat. And what kind of a blog pal would I be if I deprived all of you of such a delicious post? I had to go back! It was my duty. So I went in there and bought some baked goods just for you! Well, sort of...
I had the vanilla swirl pastry. Yeah. It was good. Really good. I forgot the name of the cookie that I tried, but it had cardamom in it and was oh so good too.
So that was the sweet way that I ended my little trip over to JP. Sweet Finnish is located at 761 Centre Street. If you find yourself over that way, stop in and try something. You'll be glad you did.
