Subway Stories - Last Stop
Whenever I take a trip or visit a museum, I buy cute little magnets as a reminder. This past summer, I was walking around the Prudential Center with a friend. I can't afford most of the stores there, but there was a little cart selling Boston themed magnets. I know it's kind of goofy to buy magnets from here when I'm not a tourist, but some of them were so cute, I couldn't resist. And they were actually in my price range! This magnet is a mini-version of a Blue Line subway car and it's happily living on my refrigerator door.
I've always wanted to go the end of the Blue Line to Wonderland Station, just to get out and walk around. This will have to wait for warmer weather. In case you've never heard of it, there is a great movie called Next Stop Wonderland, that was filmed here. It's fun and the soundtrack is amazing, if you like Brazilian music.
Well, this magnet is the closest to the subway that I've been in a long time. I took the train to work once this month and completely wasted my $59.00 monthly pass, which is now my last monthly pass. Tomorrow is the last day of January, so I feel like I should use it. It's supposed to snow again tomorrow. If it does and amounts to anything, I may take the T, because parking could be difficult. Otherwise, I may stick to driving. We'll see...

I have taken the Boston subway a few times, can't remember which one though. Was a while back.
Oh wait is there a green line?
Snow is coming here too tonight!:D
I do. I'm kind of a subway junkie. I always try to ride the subway when visiting another city. I've got to blog about that someday.
Suldog (not at my usual computer)
lotus reads - You're welcome! I hope you like it!
amisha - Thank you and you're welcome!
asha - They are nice mementos! I hope you don't get too much snow. We only had a dusting again.
mosilager - Pretty cool! You'll have to take a picture and post it on your blog!
suldog - If it's a nice enough day, I might walk around and take some pictures. Or maybe I won't even get out, but just take pictures of the station.
Subways are a pain when you're in a rush to get somewhere, but when your on vacation, it's a nice way to get a feel for a place.
Luckily I did NOT take the T to work today! The city has been crazy with all kinds of prank bomb scares and I would have been delayed again on the subway. Instead I had a nice 15 minute drive into the city.
I just saw this posted on CNN.
