Another First...

I was reading this article about purses. The article says that most women do not forget their first purse. I think that is true, but I have only a vague recollection. Fortunately, I do have a photo. Here is me at about four years old, with what I think was my first purse. I remember more the smell of it and the feeling of opening and closing it. I guess it was like a toy for me at that point. Yes, the smell of it. I still love the smell of a good leather purse...

My first purse, a small leather saddle bag with Mickey Mouse on the front. I was always looking for things to put inside. I remember the stiching and how important I felt when I carried it. And sadly I remember that I left it on a bench at Salem Willows and cried for days when it couldn't be found.
PS: You are soooooo cute in this picture :-)
