I think it's their longing for some more peaceful past (even if it is romanticized),and I never tire of hearing them. Love the muffins too!<BR/><BR/>(I didn't know what the password was for your other site, so I left it here).Susan from Food Bloggahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11034518858688958369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27165670.post-58087438650698810262007-03-18T16:07:00.000-04:002007-03-18T16:07:00.000-04:00Ummm I love blueberry muffins!I want to be a chef ...Ummm I love blueberry muffins!I want to be a chef when I grow up!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27165670.post-57316715034238937162007-03-18T13:03:00.000-04:002007-03-18T13:03:00.000-04:00these look so good! your baking always inspires m...these look so good! your baking always inspires me!amishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05153910403783107480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27165670.post-78878614876920634842007-03-18T12:29:00.000-04:002007-03-18T12:29:00.000-04:00No string for me...I'll take those yummy muffins t...No string for me...I'll take those yummy muffins though ;)wheresmymindhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06773597023205510781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27165670.post-27204646835365140722007-03-18T11:27:00.000-04:002007-03-18T11:27:00.000-04:00nina - I love traditions like that. I guess there was kind of a rivalry between the two stores back in the day. And I can totally imagine the smell of purses. We didn't usually buy them, though, because we were more of a Filene's family, and my Nana would take me over to Bailey's for lunch after we were done shopping-- grilled ham and cheese, and a butterscotch sundae-- coffee ice cream, of course! Thanks for the reminder-- I can smell them now, mixed in with the smell of fresh purses and the cosmetics department.BipolarLawyerCookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00718892727028970068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27165670.post-49782978377452265012007-03-17T11:53:00.000-04:002007-03-17T11:53:00.000-04:00My mom used to make blueberry muffins on Christmas...My mom used to make blueberry muffins on Christmas morning. I don't remember a single Christmas without them. This is a tradition I know do with my own family. So...thanks for the recipe link because I usually cheat and make them from a box! Hopefully I won't be lazy about it and try to make them at least once before December :)Ninahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08060839171999701331noreply@blogger.com
